ARTICLE: From The Publisher - November 2011

From The Publisher - November 2011

I hope you are enjoying Soundtrack.Net. Since I acquired the site last month, I wanted to give readers and update on where Soundtrack.Net is headed in coming months.

We continue to clean up our database and bring the site's content up speed. One recent addition is the album category of stage musicals. We now are listing musicals such as Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. We will be adding more albums by reader request, so please e-mail us mail@soundtrack.net and we'll add them as quickly as we can.

One new feature I'm particularly excited about is a release schedule section. This will make it easy for readers to view a list of current and upcoming releases of CD/MP3 albums, theatrical movie releases and DVD/Blu-ray titles. Look for this to start rolling out later this month.

We are also seeking new writers to review both new and old albums listed on the site. If you are interested in reviewing a particular title, or want to know what current assignments are available, please contact us at mail@soundtrack.net for further details.

On the social media front, a Twitter account is ready to follow at @soundtracknet or you can 'Like' us on Facebook at facebook.com/soundtracknet.

There are even more exciting plans I hope to share with you soon. In the meantime, I encourage you to send us your feedback and let us know what kind of content and features you'd like to see on Soundtrack.Net.

Sincerely,

Sean Saulsbury

FROM THE PUBLISHER
December 2011

Happy holidays! Last month we launched our release schedule section. Currently the schedule houses theatrical movie release dates, but we will be adding (as separate sub-sections) release calendars for home video and soundtrack albums as well. To visit the new release schedule section, click here.

We are still seeking volunteer writers to review both new and old albums listed on the site. If you are interested in reviewing a particular title, or want to know what current assignments are available, please contact us at "mailto:mail@soundtrack.net" for further information.

As always, I welcome your feedback, comments and suggestions for the site. I hope you enjoy your holiday season.

JANUARY 2012 - FROM THE PUBLISHER Happy New Year! I am happy to announce that our new release schedule section has completed development. We now have a full section covering release dates for soundtrack albums, theatrical movies and home video titles. Our home page has been tweaked a bit to reflect this new content as well, with new releases for soundtracks prominently featured above. I welcome your feedback, comments and suggestions about this new content and look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks to everyone who in about their interest to contribute reviews and articles on Soundtrack.Net. Due to the number of potential contributors, we are in the process of formalizing the process and, once that's done (later this month), we will get back to you with further instructions. If you haven't written us and wish to contribute soundtrack reviews or other content on a volunteer basis, please contact me directly.

We have a lot more in store for 2012 here at Soundtrack.Net, and I hope your 2012 will be as exciting and fulfilling as I know it will be for us.
